Yea, you've got the right idea about the comments, they don't need to be approved, i'm offended that it's the default setting for this applet.

I'll figure that out when i get back to work on the site. It might be a couple weeks before you see another set of substantial changes.

All your suggestions are good, in time, i'll implement most of them in time. There haven't been any creative brick walls in this project yet, and the next stint of work may be about tightening up some of the visual appeal and links from the blog site into the whole site..

I really want to get the civl blogs feed connected to the main page... and essentiall make the dj pages (blog pages) the dj site. I might create my own indexing of these which is more visually suitable for our site to do this... this may be incredibly difficult depending on what wordpress has to offer.

i'll call you sometime this week, we'll chat.

another thing I think the administrator should have a lot of control, but it sucks that the comment i just posted has to be approved. if someones commenting is hateful or spam the administrator can delete it fairly quickly. just saying it slows the dialogue a little. hopefully the blogs create the right administrative and security balance.

Great work Doug.

It's just keeps getting better and better. I love how the front page is more compact and less cluttered. the site appears to load faster as well.

Are you planning to put the embedded player at the bottom of the page with the now playing? I think that would be a good place for it.

did you change the calender? maybe it's just firefox. the contrast makes it easier to digest. What do you think about having the programing button turn directly into the schedule and renaming it? and move programing mandate info to about section?

I really like the idea of the blogs. The one issue i have with the blog currently is a disconnect between the blogs and the calender. I think that there is a gap between the dj blog and the dj pages. i'm not making any sense. ok It would be cool if when someone clicked on a show via the schedule or a possible future DJ directory it would take them directly to the dj blog/info page. not all dj's want to have a "blog" but the blog is a good, easy, secure place for them to have a description, picture, podcast link or embedded podcast player, link to their facebook group whatever they want. maybe we should refer to the blogs as dj pages and I really thing every show should have one even if they only use it once. the "blog" can just be a simple description of the show or a large space for dj's to promote their show. for example if they have a URL they can direct students/friends/listeners directly to their page.

A few more comments

- the community section is under utilized

- the big box on the front page should be the civl news feed and updated the most

- have you given any thought to the idea of a dj directory other than the just calender? I know it is hard with the program that we use but it would make it easier for the user.

- I was unable to add a video or have a player (so that a listener can play my past podcasts) to the blog post. not that i have a problem with abandoning my blogspot page for wordpress but blogspot was easier to add a list of my past shows, images and video. have you checked it out? http://therevolutionwillnotbetelevisedcivl.blogspot.com/ it's not the best page but does everything needed.

I think the website is a vast improvement, I hope you are getting feed back from others.

Peace Peter
