Alongside the most buzzed about band of spring 2009 Japandroids, NME hyped Sex With Strangers and the sleeping Apollo Ghosts you can see an unholy amount of Metro Vancouver band talent. And truly, these are the most exciting and innovative bands in the area. Crawling out of the woodwork of the downtown Eastside, Music Waste offers a taste of the “other” Vancouver music scene, a scene generally eschewing the Granville Strips for shows in sheds, bank atm rooms, sushi restaurants and clubs in Vancouver’s forgotten district.

It begins last night, and continues till Sunday.

The lineup is jaw dropping, and the price of all drops the jaw even further. 15$ for all, or $5 per show.
