Daniel Wesley is a reggae-inspired rock musician from White Rock, Canada. He emerged in the Canadian music scene in 2006 as the frontman of the Daniel Wesley Band. Before 2009, the band consisted of Wesley on guitar and vocals, Mark Luongo on bass and Alex Glassford on drums. Wesley continues to front the band, but now teams with a different musicians on stage and in the studio.
Wesley’s music is self-described as a blend of rock, reggae, surf, funk and blues. His sound is often compared to Sublime (Long Beach), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Los Angeles), Jack Johnson (Hawaii), Pearl Jam (Seattle) and The Police (London). Wesley has been nominated for The Verge Music Awards’ Emerging Artist of the Year for 2011.
