Abbotsford Writer Rides Through Valley for Diversity
Wednesday, May 11th, 2011The District of Mission has proclaimed their recognition of May 16th - 21st as “World Cultural Diversity Week”, on it’s tenth anniversary of adoption by UNESCO.
In celebration of this occasion and cause, and in advance of this decision, Abbotsford Times columnist Ken Herar, has been preparing a trip he’s calling “Cycling for Diversity”, where he will travel from Mission, to Abbotsford, Langley, Surrey, Delta, New West, all the way to Victoria, in an effort to raise awareness towards the need for increased cultural integration and diversity in Canada.
