Participate In Dis-O 2010

The Student Union Society of UFV is looking for Clubs and Associations to participate in this year’s Dis-O with cool and interesting activities and booths.

The SUS is looking for foods, games or things like Henna tattoos and caricatures. Basically anything that will make the day more fun for everyone!

Contact VP East Amara Vanderveen - vpeast@ufvsus.ca - with what your Student Organization can bring to the Green on Sept. 24 to engage the student body.

Twilight Concert Series in Mission - July 11 to July 17

Every Wednesday and Friday evening in Missino at the Fraser River Heritage Park, there will be live music. Entertainment each evening will start at 7 p.m. and will on until 8 p.m. All evenings are free and there will be concession stands for refreshments. Click here for a link to the schedule.

The Harrison Festival Of The Arts Is For Children Too

Hey parents and guardians! On Wed, July 14 the Harrison Festival of the Arts has a special venue just for children.

From their website:

“Come Play with the Arts and explore the world through music, crafts, physical activities and a diversity of entertainers. A full day of activities for the young and the young at heart.”

The admission is $6 and this event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harrison Memorial Hall. There are also group rates available.

This Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Jubilee Park in Abbotsford, BC will be the second night of the Jam In Jubilee concert series. This particular Thursday night is presented by, the Atangard Community Project.

Thursday night will see Los Amigos and Back Door Slam performing at Jubilee Park. The show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is by donation.

Evenings In The Hall At The Harrison Festival Of The Arts

Starting on July 9 and running until July 18 at the Harrison Memorial Hall, Evenings in the Hall will feature music, spoken word and theatre for the Harrison Festival of the Arts.

All shows start at 8:30 p.m. Well, except for Sundays and Mondays when shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. instead.
