Twilight Concert Series In Mission - June 20 to June 26

Every Wednesday and Friday evening in Mission at the Fraser River Heritage Park there will be live music. Entertainment each evening will start at 7 p.m. and will go on until 8 p.m. All events are free and there will be concession stands for refreshments. Click here for a link to the schedule.

The following are what is happening for the week of June 20 to June 26, 2010:

June 23, 2010:

The seventh night for the Twilight Concert Series will be Los Amigos. Not only from Abbotsford, there are also two UFV Alumni in the band.

June 25, 2010:

The eighth night for the Twilight Concert Series will be Joy Vox and Kitchen Sync.

On Tues, June 22 at Cafe Deux Soleils in Vancouver, UFV Alumni Nathan Moes and UFV student Conrad Dykman will be performing with their band call The Magician And The Gates Of Love (TMATGOL). Click here to listen to TMATGOL.

Cafe Deux Soleil is located at 2096 Commercial Drive a few blocks north of the Broadway/Commercial Skytrain Station. We hope to see you there!

Music Waste In Vancouver June 2-7 2010

For fans of independent culture make sure you check out the Music Waste Festival that takes place in Vancouver BC from June 2 to June 5, 2010. The Music Waste Festival will highlight local and independent music, art and comedy at a very reasonable price.

From the Music Waste website:

“Music Waste will feature nearly 100 bands at dozens of shows over four days. Not to mention, three comedy revues, eight art exhibitions, a bowling party and park BBQ + basketball tournament. With all the venues kept within walking distance and full festival passes priced at only $15 (plus service charge), Music Waste is the easiest way to experience Vancouver’s Art and Culture.”

Also playing at the Music Waste festival will Oh No! Yoko who are highschool students from Abbotsford. Their show is an afternoon/BBQ event at the Goodie Parking lot from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday June 5, 2010. Click here for the facebook event.
